The IB Diploma Program is a challenging two-year curriculum for high school students. The International Baccalaureate® (IB) offers four high quality international education program to more than one million students in 146 countries. Juniors and seniors take six courses in the following subject groups: language; second language; experimental sciences; the arts; math and computer science; and individuals and societies. IB students also engage in three core requirements: an extended essay (4,000 words); theory of knowledge (interdisciplinary course); and creativity, action, service (community service). The IB Diploma Program helps you develop critical-thinking, independent learning, and research skills. IB courses aren’t about reciting facts and figures – the IB Diploma Program helps you learn how to learn, and appreciate the process.

Course Details:

This internationally recognized school system is made up of three educational programs

  1. PYP: The Primary Years Program [Kindergarten to Class 5]. 
    1. Emphasizes on a holistic growth of the child during his/her development years
    2. Seeks to create an engaging and challenging educational framework for children.
    3. Focuses on 5 key elements:
      1. Concepts
      2. Knowledge
      3. Skills
      4. Attitudes
      5. Action
  2. MYP: The Middle Years Program [Class 6 to Class 10]. 
    1. This program aids students develop their knowledge and skills
    2. Focuses on five areas of interaction:
      1. Approaches to learning
      2. Community and Service
      3. Human Ingenuity
      4. Environment and Health
      5. Social education
    3. Offers a model of assessment, which determines the student’s results by comparing their performance against set standards.
  1. DP: The Diploma Program [Class 11 to Class 12]. 
    1. Includes six subject groups Three core requirements in addition to passing the subject     group exams:
      1. Extended Essay
      2. Theory of Knowledge & Creativity
      3. Action and Service.
    2.   Students are assessed in 2 ways:
      1. Internally- by teachers through oral exercises, presentations and performances and
      2. Externally – through extended essays, literature assignments, etc.
